We purchased our beloved cabin, “Rock Crest” in 1999. Being a 4th generation Dowville Tract family, I realized how lucky we were to find this cabin in Huckleberry Tract with a beautiful view of the Lake. Built in the early 1920’s, it was cared for by one family for three generations. We treasured this cabin, its history and all of its amazing surroundings. We feel very fortunate to have been able to love and enjoy it for all of these years. Rock Crest was a cherished member of our family and needless to say, we were all extremely sad when it left us, destroyed in the Creek Fire. We were not alone, forty two of our summer neighbors and friend’s cabins were also consumed that horrible day in September 2020. We will treasure the memories always and rest assured, the Phoenix will rise again from the ashes.
