Between 1890 and 1892, Bob, Bill, Grat and Emmett cut a swath of murder and mayhem across the Old West, robbing trains and banks. Even Wonder Valley, right here in our own backyard, still bears the mark of their presence in the Sierra. Perhaps because in Coffeyville, Kansas, they attempted to rob two banks at the same time, their impact on the American psyche still remains. But why are we fascinated with these guys?
