Hikes for History #1 – Dawn Road – SJ&E Spur to Saw Mill led by Doug & Debbie Kroeper

No registration required! Join Doug and Debbie Kroeper on the Museum of the Sierra’s first Hikes for History of the season! An easy informative hike about the Mill Ponds in Shaver and the use of the flumes to transport lumber to the sawmill in Clovis. The hike will follow the spur from the SJ&E Railroad to the Mill Ponds at Shaver Lake, where the original dam was. The hike has a 3% grade and is approximately 3 miles round trip, with the option to continue to the corrals. Bring your lunch for a picnic on the backside of Musick Mountain! No dogs, please!
