Presentation Summary – “Over the last 20+ years I’ve been extremely interested incollecting images of Central California that were captured between the late1880s through the early 1930s.  I’ve amassed over 20,000+ images, mostlyin the form of real photo postcards.  Using these images I’ve put togethera slide show that presents Shaver, Huntington and Hume Lakes when they werefirst developed and the industries that grew up around them – lumber, powergeneration and recreation.”

Speaker – Michael J. Semas was originally from Hanford, California. In1983, he graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in accounting. Helater passed the Certified Public Accountants exam on his first attempt. Michaelis currently practicing accounting in his hometown, Hanford, with his wife of32 years, Christine, and their two daughters.

Michael also has multiple publications, listed below, and isthe web host for the Facebook page “Antique Images from the Collection ofMichael J. Semas” since 2011.
