Steam Donkey Steamup, Powerhouse Demo, & American Flag Drop Off
Beginning at 10:00 am the Sierra Steamers offer a free demonstration of a “Steam-Up”, a 1905 Dolbeer Steam Donkey located in the Museum’s Parking Lot. Bring the kids and let them blow the whistle. Kids of “ALL” ages will enjoy this demonstration!
Between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm the Boy Scouts Troop 65 will be collecting retired American flags for proper disposal. The process and tradition of properly retiring an American flag requires finding a disposal location in your area. As a revered symbol of the United States of America, the flag demands the highest level of respect; and as such should be disposed of in a respectable manner.
At 12:00 pm come witness a live demonstration in our Redinger Powerhouse, the only fully functioning demonstration powerhouse in the world on museum property that can generate electricity!
