47 Years in Cabin D: Memories of Huntington Lake by Gordy Copus

Huntington Lake, one of California’s most beautiful lakes, is located at 7000 foot elevation in the Sierras just south of Yosemite National Park, about an hour and a half drive northeast of Fresno. Gordy Copus and his family have stayed at the same Cabin at Huntington Lake, every summer for the last 47 years. During that time he enjoyed meeting many of the Lake’s true pioneers. In this book he recalls conversations with them, and reveals the history of the Lake as seen through their eyes. He includes mini-biographies of five of the most important individuals who built and settled the Huntington Lake community. He also includes dozens of historic photos, some never published before. And he describes a few of his own adventures at the Lake.
