The Creek Fire Storytelling Project: Recollections of the 2020 Creek Fire

The Museum of the Sierra and Central Sierra Resiliency Fund are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new book: The Creek Fire Storytelling Project: Recollections of the 2020 Creek Fire

Since January 2021, the Resiliency Fund’s storytelling committee has been working to gather stories of the Creek Fire into a collection to create a permanent record of this important local event. Over the last few years, the committee—Kristin Telles, Lisa Monteiro, Ari Levin-Arroyo, Donna Baker Martin, Deborah Bell and Brian Clague have worked to compile the 66 submissions that we received into a nearly 200-page full-color book.

We would like to thank the Storytellers who shared their stories with our project as well as the Shaver Lake Lions Club and Sierra Pacific Orthopedics for their financial support in bringing this book to our community.
