Hikes for History #2 | Eagle Point Trail

Eagle Point Trail Hike led by Meg Tallberg
2.5 miles, approx. 4 hours including travel time and lunch.
Level: Easy
This is a moderate to easy 2.5 mile hike from the Lakeview Trail to Eagle Point. This is a lovely hike above the lake with several osprey nests and native flora. The hike leader, Meg Tallberg, will discuss the trail flora during the hike to Eagle Point. When the hikers arrive at Eagle Point a docent from Southern California Edison (SCE) will give a talk on the construction of the Eastwood Power Plant. The hike will conclude with a ride across the lake to road 2 on the SCE barge.
All hikers should wear the proper hiking attire and are encouraged to bring bug repellent and sun protection.
