Folklore Webinar Series – Joaquin Murrieta

Online Event

The California Gold Rush of 1849 and 1850 produced many colorful characters. Since then, many have been idolized, lionized, and vilified. None more so than Joaquin Murrieta. One Hundred-Seventy years have passed since the purported head of this mysterious bandito was shown up and down California, but the debates about the truth of Joaquin Murrieta rage on today, much as the cries for his elimination reverberated throughout the Sierra then.
